Our goal is not to have a bunch of ministries that members of our community must fit themselves into, but to help each individual discover their passion and how to use that passion to serve God in our city. Each of us has different experiences, strengths and gifts that can benefit the city. As our community has grown, we have developed partnerships with other organizations and ministries to work together for the good of Greensboro and the world.
Interactive Resource Center - The Interactive Resource Center assists people who are homeless, recently homeless or facing homelessness reconnect with their own lives and with the community at large.
Ronald E. McNair Elementary – missio partners with McNair, serving its faculty, staff, students and parents. We do work regularly at the school for our CItyConnect Events and have some of our members volunteering on a personal level as well. Contact us if you are interested in volunteering at McNair.
Church Under the Bridge – Reaches out to Greensboro’s homeless population each Saturday night under the bridge at 300 Spring Garden Street providing food, community, and corporate worship. Some of us at missio are involved each Saturday night and missio as a whole provides the food, music and message for Church Under the Bridge at least once a quarter.
Sunday Morning Breakfast – missio joins with several other area churches to provide breakfast each Sunday morning at 8:00 am in City Center Park downtown (200 N. Elm St.). We usually serve fruit and grits. Contact us if you would like more information about Sunday Morning Breakfast.
Heart for Africa – Works alongside churches in Swaziland, providing care and hope for the future for children in this small African nation. Learn more about Heart for Africa, and its sustainability effort, Project Canaan.
