Leadership

Elders

missio dei: gso is led by elders; those charged with leading the church by empowering God’s people to live out of the gospel for the good of the city.  Their responsibilities include praying, pastoring and casting the broader vision for missio dei in Greensboro.

Current Elders:

rob
Rob Cassell (Lead Pastor)Rob was born in Columbia, SC and grew up in Kingsport, TN.  He went to Wake Forest University, where he met his wife, Kirstin.  They were married in 2003 and now have 3 children (Riley, Allyn, and Amani).  The Cassells moved to Greensboro in 2005 and quickly fell in love with the city.  After a decade in youth ministry, Rob planted missio  with a group of people who wanted to be part of a gospel-centered community that worked for the benefit of those around them.  Rob loves reading, music, everything outdoors, especially backpacking and mountain biking, and needs contact with mountains to recharge every so often.
